Acceptable use
Use Dugzi fairly.
In force from: [date to be set when Dugzi opens to the public] · Last updated 28 October 2026
These rules are part of our terms of service. Use Dugzi for lawful communication and to organise your life and work. Keep control of your account, and respect other people's privacy and rights.
What you may not do
Do not use Dugzi to:
- send spam or unwanted bulk marketing, pretend to be someone else, phish, commit fraud or spread malware;
- sexually exploit children, threaten or harass people, or spread unlawful hateful content;
- infringe copyright or other rights, share someone's private information unlawfully, or get into someone else's mail without permission;
- attack systems, get around the separation between accounts, get around sending limits, or test for weaknesses outside our security disclosure rules;
- sell or share access to your account, get around a suspension, or monitor employees.
Only import or connect mail and accounts that you own or are allowed to manage. If you want to put a business's personal data in Dugzi, tell us first: we need a data processing agreement with that business.
How we keep mail safe
Automated checks protect everyone's mail. New incoming, forwarded and outgoing mail is checked for spam and safety. Imported mail is checked for viruses and harmful attachments, but not scored for spam again. If a required check cannot run, the message waits or is refused, and you see why. A clean result does not guarantee that a message is safe. We don't routinely read anyone's mailbox; when a person at Dugzi may look at content is explained in our privacy notice.
What we do about misuse
We use the lightest step that works: a warning, a sending limit, holding mail, removing a specific item, suspending the account or, for serious or repeated misuse, closing it. When urgent action is needed to prevent harm, we may act without warning you first. We still explain the restriction when it takes effect, unless the law allows otherwise.
When we restrict your content or account, we tell you why at the same time: what we did, the facts, the rule or law involved, whether it was automated, how long and how far it applies, and how you can challenge it. We hold back or delay this explanation only where the law allows it. We never reveal someone else's private messages to explain a decision.
Reporting misuse
Write to abuse@dugzi.com. Tell us which message or item it is about and why you think it is unlawful or harmful. Include your name and email address, and confirm that you believe your report is accurate and complete. You don't need to give your name or email address when you report child sexual abuse or exploitation, including abuse material or grooming. Don't send passwords or private content that isn't needed. We confirm that we received your report and tell you the outcome, as far as privacy and the law allow.
If you disagree with a decision
Reply to our message or write to abuse@dugzi.com. This costs nothing. A person reviews the facts and answers within 14 days. Where possible, that person was not involved in the original decision. You can always go to court or use any other legal route.
If we close your account, you can still download your lawful data for 30 days, unless the law or a specific security risk prevents it. If you can't sign in, ask support for a safe way to do this.
